Electrical Engineer
Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer for a direct hire opportunity in Burr Ridge, IL.
Summary: Electrical Engineer will work closely with a full-service team to deliver fully integrated, high-quality design packages. This role involves assessing client needs, ensuring compliance with industry codes, and prioritizing personnel safety while achieving client goals. Project scopes will vary from greenfield projects to retrofits and equipment upgrades at existing facilities.
Pay: $110,000 to $130,000/ annually
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute electrical engineering design scope for single and multi-discipline projects while ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and standards. Perform the Lead role as assigned.
- Ensures quality and technical accuracy of their project deliverables including calculations and design efforts to prepare deliverables.
- Meets the discipline’s engineering schedule and budget objectives on assigned projects.
- Self-performs design of low voltage (600 and below) industrial power distribution systems.
- Assist in the design of medium voltage (MV) power distribution systems, including the selection, specification, and incorporation of MV equipment.
- Assists in short circuit/arc flash/coordination and load studies.
- Self-performs the specification and design modification of MCCs, including single lines and layout of MCCs.
- Self-performs the design of cable tray and conduit systems and the specification of low-voltage distribution equipment.
- Participates in construction support, startup, and commissioning efforts.
- Interfaces with clients on a regular basis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering, or related discipline, required
- 5+ years of electrical design experience
- Exposed to EasyPower and or SKM software
- Familiar with AutoCAD and Revit software
- Experience with load studies required
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code
- Industrial power distribution experience required
- Ability to specify power distribution equipment
- Field exposure to various manufacturing, industrial, commercial, or institutional environments.
