Job Description

Job Title: Gas & Chemical Technician
Location: Santa Clara, CA / Sunnyvale, CA
Duration: 12 Months'
Training Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (first 2–3 months)
Shift After Training: TBD (includes day or night shifts, 12 hours, 3–4 days/week)
Pay Rate: $30/hr

Job Overview:
We are looking for Gas & Chemical Technicians to join our team at EMD Electronics in Santa Clara, CA. You’ll be trained to safely operate and maintain gas and chemical systems that support semiconductor manufacturing.
This is a contract role with on-the-job training and the opportunity to be promoted or hired permanently based on performance and business needs.

What You'll Do:
  • Handle, change, and install gas and chemical containers
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair gas and chemical equipment
  • Monitor and operate equipment using computers
  • Follow safety and quality procedures at all times
  • Support technical teams across 11 buildings in Santa Clara and Sunnyvale
Physical Requirements:
  • Lift up to 40 lbs
  • Climb ladders and work at heights (with fall protection)
  • Wear safety gear (PPE), including respirators when needed
  • Reach overhead, bend, and move throughout the facility
Training & Advancement:
  • All experience levels welcome – full training is provided
  • Military experience is highly valued
  • 5 technician levels with opportunities for fast-track promotion
  • Learn technical skills used in a growing, high-tech industry
What You Need:
Minimum:
  • High School Diploma or GED
Preferred:
  • Technical or mechanical experience
  • Familiarity with gas or chemical equipment
  • Military, maintenance, or technician background
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office)
