Gas & Chemical Technician
Location: Sunnyvale, CA
Pay: $28
Employment Type: Contract with potential for conversion | Full-Time | Onsite

About the Role
We are seeking Gas & Chemical Technicians to support operations in Sunnyvale, CA. This is a hands-on, career-track role offering comprehensive training, advancement opportunities, and exposure to cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing.
Technicians will maintain the supply of chemicals and gases to our wafer fabrication environment, ensuring safety, quality, and flawless execution across more than 2,000 pieces of distribution equipment.

Schedule & Training
  • Initial Training: M–F, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (first 2–3 months)
  • Post-Training: Assigned to compressed shifts (A, B, C, or D) covering 24/7 operations
    • Shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Key Responsibilities
  • Safely handle and change out gas, chemical, and slurry containers
  • Troubleshoot and perform preventative/repair maintenance on equipment
  • Write, edit, and execute standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Support installations, decommissioning, and repairs of gas/chemical systems
  • Operate computer systems to support job functions and customer needs
  • Maintain compliance with quality and safety management systems
  • Support emergency preparedness and incident-free operations
Physical Requirements
  • Lift up to 40 lbs; bend, climb ladders, and work overhead
  • Occasionally wear a supplied-air respirator (10–15 minutes)
  • Use PPE (gloves, aprons, hard hats, safety glasses, etc.) provided by the company
  • Must wear safety boots (voucher provided)
Qualifications
Minimum:
  • High School Diploma or GED
Preferred:
  • Experience in maintenance, equipment technician work, or mechanical/electronic environments
  • Familiarity with chemical/gas distribution equipment (a plus, not required)
  • Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Military experience is highly valued

  • Onboarding Requirements: Physical exam, respirator fit test, onboarding paperwork, and NDA prior to start
