Indirect Tax Supervisor
Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking an Indirect Tax Supervisor for a Direct Hire role in Cordova, TN.
About the Role
The Indirect Tax Supervisor will assist in overseeing the U.S. indirect tax process, including compliance, audits, and opportunities related to sales/use tax and property tax.
- Location: Cordova, TN
- Relocation Assistance Available
- Salary Range: $90K – $110K + bonus
- Schedule: Full-time, in-office (5 days/week)
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise all aspects of U.S. indirect tax processes
- Ensure compliance with property tax and sales/use tax (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual)
- Conduct analytical reporting on indirect tax matters
- Support the Indirect Tax Manager with state and local jurisdiction audits
- Partner with third-party consultants and vendors on compliance and tax opportunities
- Stay current with tax laws and regulations across all states of company operations
- Monitor legislative changes and assess impact on operations
- Develop training materials on sales/use tax for non-tax personnel
- Review purchase transactions for accurate application of sales/use tax
- Lead or contribute to special projects as assigned
- Focus: Strong Sales & Use Tax experience within the manufacturing sector
Qualifications
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or CPA credential
- Experience
- Minimum 7 years in public accounting and/or industry (manufacturing sales & use tax experience strongly preferred)
- Strong knowledge and experience in tax compliance preparation
- Proven ability to research, interpret, and apply U.S. indirect tax laws, regulations, and statutes
- Familiarity with indirect tax systems and accounting processes
- CPA or CMI designation preferred
- Authorized to work in the U.S. – Sponsorship cannot be provided now or in the future
