Job Description

Sirius Staffing is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Mobile, AL.

Pay: $30 to $65/hour depending on years of experience 

Shift: Monday to Thursday, 4 x 10-hour shifts, flexible start times. 
Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and optimize HVAC systems for commercial and industrial projects.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of HVAC performance, making recommendations for improvements and adjustments to achieve energy efficiency.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure design integrity and compliance with project specifications and legal regulations.
  • Monitor project progress, manage budgets, and ensure timely completion.
  • Conduct on-site inspections and troubleshoot potential system issues.
  • Provide technical guidance and support during the installation and commissioning phases.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including project plans, reports, and compliance paperwork.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience with HVAC system design, installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with construction processes, materials, and building codes.
  • Ability to manage project timelines and budgets effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Investigative and problem-solving abilities.
  • Physical ability to perform site visits at construction sites and client facilities.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required.
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Caesar II, and other HVAC design software.
  • Understanding of energy modeling and load calculation techniques.
  • Experience with sustainable building practices and energy efficiency improvements.
