Job Description

Sirius Staffing is urgently hiring a Packaging Operator for a position in Martin, South Carolina. The ideal applicant should have experience operating a forklift and at least one year of experience in chemical manufacturing. This is a contract role with the potential to become a permanent position.
 
$24.00/hr
 
2-week rotating schedule: 7a – 7p then 7p-7a  2 on, 3 off, 3 on, 2 off, and it continuously rotates from days to nights every two weeks 
 
Resumes must be up to date with no unexplained gaps in employment history. 
 
The Packaging Operator will support the manufacturing of products according to established protocols and perform operations in support of the group, department, and company. 

 Essential Job Functions
  • Transport chemicals and equipment using pumps, piping, forklifts, pallet jacks, or dollies.
  • Perform production and packaging operations according to procedures.
  • Ensure product quality and quantity during production.
  • Clean equipment and work areas post-production.
  • Coordinate waste disposal and complete compliance documentation.
  • Communicate and document process, product, and equipment status.
  • Report production or equipment deviations to the supervisor.
  • Provide accurate batch records post-production.
  • Maintain accurate logbooks.
  • Follow safety rules and production procedures.
  • Wear and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Label all in-process equipment and containers.
  • Address unsafe conditions promptly.
  • Keep laboratory and work areas clean and organized.
 
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent + 1-3 years of experience working in a similar environment
  • Forklift experience required
  • Associate's degree in a life science-related field + 1 or more years of chemical manufacturing experience preferred

  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
