Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technician

Job Description

Sirius Staffing is seeking experienced Pharmaceutical Technicians in Birmingham, AL. The ideal candidate will have cGMP skills within the manufacturing industry, including manual assembly and mechanical reasoning abilities.
 
Type: Full-time, long-term contract with the potential to hire direct 
 
Rate: $22/hr 
 
Shifts: Monday – Friday, 8a-5p or 3p-12a (1st and 2nd shift positions)

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Associate degree in Chemistry or Biology, preferred. 
  • 2+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Manufacturing Industry experience
  • Mechanical reasoning skills
  • Proficient documentation skills
  • GMP or cGMP work environment experience
  • Developed math and computer skills
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Proficiency in aseptic technique with minimal supervision
 
Responsibilities:
  • Operate PLC-controlled machinery independently, adjusting set points according to batch records
  • Use essential hand and specialty tools for equipment operation
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing PPE
  • Conduct development/engineering, clinical-phase, and commercial batches safely
  • Assemble and disassemble processing equipment for various processes
  • Follow development/engineering, GLP, or GMP batch records accurately
  • Identify opportunities for maintenance, calibration, and improvement of facilities, equipment, and procedures
  • Participate in general area housekeeping
