Senior Structural Engineer/Project Manager

Job Description

Sirius Staffing is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer / Project Manager for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Mobile, AL. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of structural engineering experience with a strong foundation in consulting engineering. This role involves managing resources efficiently, delivering projects on time and on budget, and leading design teams of 5 to 10 members. We are looking for someone detail-oriented and analytical, with a proactive, investigative approach to problem-solving and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the structural engineering design scope for multiple projects, ensuring quality and compliance with industry standards and legal regulations.
  • Manage resources, timelines, and budgets, ensuring all projects meet set objectives.
  • Guide and mentor design teams (5-10 members), fostering collaboration and achieving high-performance outcomes.
  • Oversee project lifecycle from design to execution, including coordination with other engineering disciplines.
  • Conduct site visits to assess construction progress and address structural issues as they arise.
  • Develop and present project updates to clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as construction materials and processes.
Requirements:
  • PE Licensure (Professional Engineer) is required.
  • 8+ years of experience in structural engineering, with some experience in consulting engineering preferred.
  • Experience using RISA and Enercalc or similar software’s
  • Proficiency in construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Demonstrated project and budget management skills.
  • Ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team to achieve project goals.
  • Strong analytical, creative, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to visit construction sites and client facilities as needed.
