Storekeeper
Job Description
Sirius Staffing is currently hiring a Storekeeper for a full-time, short-term contract in New Sterlington, LA. This onsite role requires a start date of October 6, 2025, and will run through December 5, 2025.
Pay Range: $18.00 to $24.43 per hour
Schedule: Four 10-hour days each week, with time split between two sites (two days at each location).
Summary: Under general supervision, you will manage storeroom and inventory operations, including purchasing, issuing, and receiving supplies and materials. You will maintain accurate records to properly track all inventory transactions and ensure compliance with regulatory and accounting requirements such as Sarbanes-Oxley and Fixed Asset controls
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the storeroom and efficiently issue/receive and stock materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of all receipts and issues.
- Perform physical inventories and provide direction to other storeroom employees as needed.
- Safely operate material-handling equipment and remain available for overtime as required.
- Record all inventory transactions in an Inventory Management System (e.g., Maximo).
- Coordinate directly with outage planners and/or planners/schedulers
Requirement:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of warehouse experience.
- Current Forklift Operator Certification.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior storeroom experience and knowledge of inventory management practices.
- Background in logistics management within a warehouse environment.
- Proficiency with computer applications and inventory procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with storeroom regulatory and accounting requirements.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external personnel.
