Position Overview:
We are seeking skilled Gas and Chemical Technicians to support and lead the technical operations of gas and chemical equipment across its Santa Clara and Sunnyvale facilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of gas and chemical applications in wafer fabrication and emergency response, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operations.
We are seeking skilled Gas and Chemical Technicians to support and lead the technical operations of gas and chemical equipment across its Santa Clara and Sunnyvale facilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of gas and chemical applications in wafer fabrication and emergency response, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a subject matter expert for gas, chemical, and slurry equipment, providing technical support and problem resolution.
- Support and lead technical operations for over 2,000 pieces of distribution equipment across 11 buildings.
- Ensure compliance with operational and maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Perform installation, decommissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of EMD Electronics Gas Systems, Applied Energy Systems gas systems, Fuji liquid delivery systems, Air Liquide Gas, and chemical systems.
- Execute cylinder and drum changes for all chemical and gas systems safely and efficiently.
- Contribute to project and sustaining operations, preventive maintenance, quality management, and staff training.
- Participate in comprehensive on-the-job training (OJT) and technical qualification programs, with opportunities for advancement across five technician levels.
Qualifications:
- Proven expertise in gas or chemical applications in wafer fabrication environments.
- Strong knowledge of safety, emergency response, and quality compliance standards.
- Technical problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex gas and chemical systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and support multiple facilities.
- Willingness to undergo OJT and continuous technical training.
