Job Description

Sirius Staffing is seeking a Warehouse Operator for a temporary contract in Lacassine, LA. This is a  temporary positions with the possibility of extension based on performance and departmental needs.
Pay: $18.00 to $22.00/ hour
Shift: Monday to Friday, 7a-3:30p, with overtime.
Summary: Responsible for efficiently loading and unloading trucks, verifying the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments, and ensuring proper handling and recording of materials. The role requires the operation of a 6000# forklift, adherence to safety protocols, and accurate documentation of all product movements using SAP inventory systems.
Responsibilities:
  • Load and Unload Trucks: Safely operate a 6000# forklift to load and unload various materials and equipment without causing damage or endangering personnel.
  • Documentation: Review and verify Bill of Lading and Manifests for accuracy, prepare receipt and shipment tally sheets, and record all product movements in SAP according to established procedures.
  • Inventory Management: Perform physical inventory counts, ensuring accuracy across all areas of the facility, which may involve climbing steps, stairs, and ladders.
  • Material Handling: Handle drums and bags of various sizes and weights, up to 55 gallons, both manually and with mechanical devices
  • Safety Compliance: Work under various weather conditions while adhering to safety protocols and maintaining accurate records.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school Diploma or GED.
  • Forklift Experience: Must have experience operating a 6000# forklift sit down/ stand up.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and handling materials, including climbing and operating equipment.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately review and complete paperwork, ensuring timely delivery to other departments.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as required to meet department needs.
