Job Description

Sirius Staffing is currently seeking a Manufacturing Operator to join our team in Branchburg, NJ. with opportunities for temp-to-hire contract positions.

Summary: Responsible for operating equipment, monitoring processes, and performing chemical reactions in a safe, efficient, and compliant environment. This role requires close adherence to protocols, quality standards, and safety guidelines.

Schedule: 3  pm -11:30p PST ( 2nd shift)
Pay: $25.00/ hr with a 10% shift differential ($27.50/ hour) 

Description:
  • Operate vessels, tanks, dryers, and other equipment for chemical processing.
  • Charge solids, liquids, and gases to processing equipment and monitor reactions using lab equipment and control systems.
  • Perform chemical procedures such as distillations, filtrations, extractions, and recrystallizations to isolate and purify products.
  • Neutralize and safely dispose of unused materials, by-products, and residues.
  • Maintain and update production records, lab notebooks, batch records, and logs in compliance with GDP protocols.
  • Adhere to ISO, MRB, cGMP, and Change Control guidelines.
  • Stage and de-stage materials and equipment using manual tools or PITs.
  • Participate in quality, safety, and 5S initiatives to enhance work efficiency and environment.
  • Conduct in-process testing and provide basic interpretations of results.
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions and participate in incident investigations and safety meetings.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and processing equipment.
  • Communicate production needs and updates to supervisors and coworkers. 
  • Basic job-related SAP applications.
Qualification Requirements:
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED; experience in a chemistry-related environment.
  • Preferred: Associate degree in Chemistry or Science, or two years of college-level chemistry coursework.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of chemical reactions, hazards, and ISO/quality systems.
  • Mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills.
  • Experience with forklifts, hand pallet trucks, and hand tools.
  • Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds unassisted 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Perform tasks requiring vision, manual dexterity, and the ability to lift and move heavy materials.
  • Work with phones, computers, lab equipment, and office/manufacturing tools.. 
  •  Ability to operate hand tools, lab equipment, calculator, and weighing and measuring devices.
  • Basic understanding of ISO and quality systems
