Job Description

Sirius Staffing is currently seeking a detail-oriented Mail Processing Clerk for a part-time opportunity in Hammond, LA.
Pay Range: $13.57 per hour
Schedule: Part-Time (18–25 hours/week), including 12-hour Mondays.
Position Summary:
This role involves manual extraction and processing of mailed-in payments using the OPEX Falcon machine.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate the OPEX Falcon machine to extract incoming mail payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Sort and organize extracted mail into designated patterns for scanning and digital processing.
  • Scan batches into Falcon software, ensuring correct alignment, orientation, and categorization of documents.
  • Remove staples and prepare documents for error-free processing.
  • Batch exceptions and correspondence separately for forwarding to appropriate departments.
  • Perform end-of-day cleanup, including collecting and disposing of excess envelopes and paper.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail to ensure all scanned documents meet quality standards.
Requirement:
  • High School Diploma.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while being a supportive team player.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality.
  • Punctual, dependable, and flexible with the ability to work extended hours when needed.
