Job Title: Part-Time Mail Processing Clerk
Location: Hammond, LA 704
Pay Rate: $13.57/hour
Schedule:
  • Mondays: 12-hour shift | 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Remaining Weekdays: 3-hour shifts | 5:00 AM – 8:00 AM
  • Average Weekly Hours: Approximately 21 hours
  • Overtime: Occasional, as needed
Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Mail Processing Clerk to support our payment processing operations. This role involves using an OPEX Falcon machine to manually extract and scan mailed-in payments while ensuring high standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate the OPEX Falcon machine for payment extraction
  • Sort and scan mail into Falcon Software following specific batching procedures
  • Identify and route exceptions and correspondence for additional processing
  • Perform quality control (remove staples, ensure correct document orientation, proper batch marking)
  • Clean up envelope/paper waste at the end of each shift
Qualifications:
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • High productivity under tight timelines
  • Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated
  • Flexible to work extended hours, especially on Mondays
  • Able to lift up to 20 lbs
