Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking an experienced Amazon Connect Developer for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Tampa, FL.
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 4 Days Onsite / 1 Day Remote
Summary: This is a senior-level technical position requiring recent, hands-on, production-level experience with Amazon Connect/AWS Connect, including implementation, development, configuration, and integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical SME for AWS/Amazon Connect, leading development, configuration, integration, and production support.
- Develop cloud solutions using Python, AWS, and AWS CDK.
- Lead complex software development and application integration projects through all phases of the SDLC.
- Build and support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Git, and GitHub.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and support mission-critical applications.
- Create technical specifications, project estimates, implementation plans, and documentation.
- Partner with business, development, and project teams to deliver scalable technical solutions.
- Mentor junior team members and establish development standards and best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement across application development, support, and cloud architecture.
Required Technical Skills
- Recent, hands-on production-level Amazon Connect/AWS Connect experience.
- Strong Python programming/development experience.
- Strong AWS cloud development and AWS CDK experience.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Git/GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong application integration and SDLC experience.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong technical documentation and communication skills..
Additional Preferred Technologies
Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable:
- Agentic AI
- React
- Cloud-native application development
- DevOps/deployment automation
- Enterprise application architecture
- AWS or related technical certifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
- 10+ years of systems analysis, software design, development, and application support experience.
- Recent production-level AWS experience required.
- Previous experience serving as a Technical Lead or SME and mentoring junior technical staff.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects and work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
