Analytical Chemist

Job Description
- Perform and interpret analytical measurements using chromatographic methods (GC, HPLC, IC, GPC) and mass spectrometry.
- Develop, validate, and document analytical methods.
- Set up, maintain, and qualify analytical instruments regularly.
- Conduct additional analytical measurements as needed, such as NMR, IR, titration, thermal analysis, physical measurements, and particle characterization.
- Act as a consultant for colleagues with analytical inquiries and participate in research projects.
- Ensure compliance with all ESH (Environmental, Safety, and Health) and legal requirements, including:
- Certification and permitting.
- Training employees.
- Reporting and investigating incidents or near-misses.
- Ensuring know-how protection.
- Contribute to shared responsibilities within the group, including inventory management, instrument maintenance, purchasing, ISO certification (if applicable), documentation, reporting, safety, and training.
- Strong expertise in chromatography (GC, HPLC, IC, GPC) and mass spectrometry.
- Familiarity with elemental spectrometry (ICP-OES), titration, thermal analysis, particle characterization, NMR, and IR.
- Sound knowledge of organic and polymer chemistry.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to adapt to various assignments and clients.
- Efficient resource utilization, including instruments, materials, and time.
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with colleagues, internal clients, and global technical experts.
- Hands-on experience with modern organic chemistry laboratory techniques, including synthesis, purification, and compound identification.
- Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in instrumental analytics.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
