Pay Rate: $33/hour

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Avionics Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install aircraft electrical and electronic systems in accordance with FAA, manufacturer, and company standards. This role requires a high commitment to flight safety, precision workmanship, and compliance with aviation maintenance regulations. As a safety-sensitive position, strict adherence to FAA and company safety guidelines is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs per FAA-approved data and Airworthiness standards
- Conduct operational checks on navigation, communication, and flight-control systems
- Inspect aircraft electrical and avionics systems to prevent failures and ensure reliability
- Fabricate and install wiring harnesses; modify electrical and avionics systems as required
- Diagnose malfunctions through system tests, technical data, and flight data review
- Use approved test equipment to verify serviceability of repaired systems
- Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
- Install avionics equipment and perform pitot-static and instrument system checks
- Troubleshoot, repair, rework, and replace defective assemblies and components
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and sign off completed work packages
- Train and assist maintenance team members; support troubleshooting efforts
- Maintain a clean, safe workspace and comply with OSHA safety standards
- Support on-the-job training and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in aircraft avionics or electrical systems maintenance
- Prior hands-on avionics experience required
- Experience interpreting wiring diagrams, harness fabrication, and cable assemblies
- Proficiency using specialized electrical testing and diagnostic tools
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain high-quality standards in time-sensitive environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces or elevated surfaces
- English fluency (verbal & written)
Preferred Qualifications
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant License
- FCC 2nd Class License
- Experience with turboprop aircraft
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus
Additional Details
- Travel: ~10% domestic and international
- Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and operate safely
- Noise levels may be high at times; PPE required
