Key Skills & Requirements
- SQL proficiency – Required
- Power Automate experience – Preferred
- Dashboard development skills – Preferred
- Experience in the Electric Utility industry – Strongly Preferred
- Experience in Non-Electric Utility or Oil & Gas sectors – Preferred
Position Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst to evaluate and enhance our computer-based business applications. This role is critical in helping streamline operations by leveraging technology, optimizing resources, and improving overall efficiency across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business functions, workflows, and systems to identify areas for improvement.
- Leverage available technology and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational performance objectives.
- Evaluate data trends, forecasting models, schedules, and current operational procedures.
- Develop and present strategic business solutions aligned with company goals.
- Design and enhance computer-based business systems in partnership with senior leadership.
- Gather requirements, pinpoint operational inefficiencies, and recommend automated or optimized solutions.
- Apply advanced analytical methods, including simulation, linear/nonlinear programming, dynamic programming, queuing theory, Markov decision processes, econometrics, data envelopment analysis, neural networks, and expert systems.
- Create comprehensive documentation outlining business requirements, system functions, and the roadmap for implementation or improvement.
