$25-38hr.
Schedule:
M-F, 8a-5p, working onsite full time
Our client is a global specialty chemicals company that develops and produces a diverse portfolio of innovative products and solutions for a variety of end markets, leveraging its expertise in materials science and process engineering.
As a Buyer / Expeditor, you will play a crucial role in our procurement team, responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and ensuring the timely delivery of the materials and supplies needed to support our operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to manage budgets, control costs, and optimize our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the procurement of materials, supplies, and services in a cost-effective and efficient manner
- Conduct market research, identify suppliers, and negotiate favorable pricing and terms
- Monitor and analyze budget and cost data to identify opportunities for cost savings
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure timely delivery of materials
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and monitor their performance
- Assist with the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures
- Provide regular reports and recommendations to management on procurement activities and trends
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in a Buyer or Expeditor role, preferably in a manufacturing or chemical industry setting
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management, and cost control
- Proficient in budget management, cost analysis, and data-driven decision making
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
