Job Description

As a Civil/Structural Designer, you will provide drafting services on a variety of civil and structural project designs, including drawing packages, layouts, plans, profiles, sections, and details following national and company CAD standards. The selected candidate should have experience supporting civil and structural, infrastructure projects through all stages of planning, conceptual and detail design, and construction document
development.
Essential Functions:
- Working with project engineers on various project drafting needs
- Preparing site layouts, grading plans, details, and technical design drawings
- Developing 3D model renderings, and fly-through videos
- Calculating quantity take-offs
- Communicating potential design issues as identified
- Incorporating instruction and feedback from project engineers
- Collaborating with team members
- Keeping up to date with software
- Providing other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Associates degree or vocational training in drafting or similar
- 5+years of experience with specialization in preparing designs in the civil engineering field
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Excellent oral communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Self-starter and problem solver
- Knowledge of engineering and construction
- Knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D, 3ds Max/Maya, Auto TURN and ArcGIS software, a plus
- Knowledge of graphic design, a plus
