Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking a Civil / Structural Engineer for a full-time, contract role working at a large chemical manufacturing site in Theodore, AL.
The CSA Engineer will be highly skilled with CAD and Must have experience leading large capital projects and have ex experience leading multi-discipline engineering projects.
This is a 12-month+ contract

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a recognized accredited program (ABET) in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Minimum 6 years relevant work experience in Chemical, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Pharmaceutical Industries
- Licensed Professional Engineer preferred but not a must
- Highly proficient with CAD and Microsoft Office Applications
- Experience with civil/structural analysis software (Risa 3D & Risa Foundation preferred).
- Must be able to perform fieldwork to gather relevant project data and provide construction support as required.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to independently develop and apply advanced engineering techniques, concepts, and approaches to unique engineering problems.
- Has the ability to supervise engineering staff on industrial projects that range from small to large capital-size projects.
- Proactively provides guidance and direction on department design guides, standards, systems, and applicable engineering codes (IBC, AISC, ASCE, ACI, etc.)
- Has the ability to produce estimate-level preliminary designs and material take-offs suitable for the level of the estimate being performed on a project.
- Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies as necessary to determine the simplest, most efficient approach to solving engineering tasks.
- Has the ability to develop detailed sketches necessary for completing engineering drawings.
- Could possibly work remotely after the Engineer is well-trained.
- This position will require extensive travel across North America as required to support other site projects.
