Employment Type: Contract (with potential for conversion based on performance and business needs)
Pay Rate (Based on Experience): Entry to Mid-Level: $28–$32/hour

Shift Information
- Initial Training: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (for the first 2–3 months)
- Post-Training Assignment: Assigned to A/B/C/D compressed shift schedule (7:00 AM–7:30 PM or 7:00 PM–7:30 AM) to support 24/7 facility operations
Position Overview
Sirius Talent is seeking Chemical Machine Operator to join our client’s team in Santa Clara, CA. This role is vital in maintaining and supporting gas and chemical systems across 11 buildings in Sunnyvale and Santa Clara. Technicians will be responsible for over 2,000 pieces of distribution equipment, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle and change out gas, chemical, and slurry containers
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair gas and chemical equipment
- Perform equipment installations and decommissions
- Execute preventative maintenance procedures
- Write, edit, and follow operating and maintenance procedures
- Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols and documentation standards
- Utilize computer systems for reporting and operational tracking
- Collaborate on projects and support sustaining operations
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 40 lbs
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and overhead reaching
- Occasional ladder climbing (fall protection provided)
- May require wearing a supplied-air respirator for short durations while handling certain chemicals
- PPE required and provided (e.g., safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, aprons)
- Safety boot voucher provided
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Experience in gas/chemical distribution, equipment maintenance, or a mechanical/electronic environment
- Military training or background highly valued
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
- Effective communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

- Chemical, Oil & Gas Industries
- BioTech, Semiconductor, or Advanced Manufacturing
- Power Plants, Refineries, or Water/Wastewater Treatment Facilities
- Industrial Mechanics, Automotive Repair, or Production Technician roles
- U.S. Military Veterans with hands-on technical or mechanical experience
Onboarding Requirements
- Completion of onboarding form and signed NDA
- Site-specific access clearance
- Physical exam including a qualitative respirator fit test (administered during orientation)
- Clearance to start coordinated by Shellie Whitmore, MSP Specialist
