Job Title: Chemical Manufacturing Technician
Base Pay: $22.00/hour
Shift: 1st Shift – Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (flexibility to start at 7:00 AM)

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s degree in Chemistry preferred
- Experience with SAP is a plus (willing to train)
- Must be clean-shaven (for respirator fit purposes)
Position Overview:
The Chemical Manufacturing Technician is responsible for manufacturing products in accordance with established protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The role involves operating processing equipment, conducting routine tests, documenting batch records, and supporting continuous process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Operation & Maintenance
- Set up, operate, and monitor processing equipment per SOPs
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions; make approved adjustments or escalate as needed
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel to resolve equipment issues
Production Operations
- Prepare and manufacture products following current manufacturing procedures
- Perform routine analytical testing to ensure process control
- Transport chemicals and materials using pumps, piping, pallet jacks, or dollies
- Maintain product quality and quantity throughout the production cycle
- Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas post-production
- Manage proper waste disposal and complete necessary compliance documentation
Documentation & Communication
- Accurately document batch records, including any deviations or non-conformance reports (NCRs)
- Enter labor hours and material usage into SAP
- Ensure completion of applicable logbooks in alignment with procedures
- Communicate process and equipment status with supervisors and team members
Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all safety protocols and manufacturing procedures
- Properly use, clean, and store personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ensure proper labeling of equipment and containers
- Participate in safety and quality training sessions
- Maintain clean and organized workspaces
Process Improvement & Team Support
- Support continuous improvement initiatives under supervision
- Independently assist in investigations and implement process improvements
- Provide training and technical guidance to peers as needed
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to lift over 20 lbs
- Role requires a standard physical exam
- Exposure to chemicals/substances requires use of PPE
- Respirator use required (clean-shaven condition)
- No operation of forklifts or laser equipment involved
- No exposure to human blood/products or animals
