Chemical Operator-Rotating Shift work

Rotating 12-hour swing shifts:
- Day Shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- Night Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Rotation Pattern:
- 2,,2,3,2-days for 2 weeks
- 2,2,3,2-nights for 2 weeks
We are seeking a Chemical Manufacturing Production Operator to support manufacturing operations by performing production, packaging, material handling, and compliance-related tasks in a regulated environment. This role requires strong attention to safety, quality, and procedure adherence in a fast-paced chemical manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform production operations according to established procedures and protocols
- Execute packaging operations based on current production guidelines
- Transport chemicals and equipment using pumps, piping systems, forklifts, pallet jacks, and dollies
- Ensure product quality and quantity throughout all stages of production
- Wear required PPE, including full-face respirators, gloves, protective suits, and other safety gear
- Clean equipment and work areas after production activities
- Handle waste disposal in compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Complete required documentation, including batch records and logbooks
- Communicate production status and report any equipment or process deviations to supervision
- Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and operational policies
- Identify and respond to unsafe conditions appropriately
- Participate in required safety and quality training sessions
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree in life sciences preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or chemical production environment (1–2 years preferred for AA candidates)
- Forklift experience required
Required Skills
- Safe chemical handling practices
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Basic computer skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Troubleshooting ability
- Strong interpersonal skills
