Chemical Packager
Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking Chemical Packagers in St. Louis, MO. You will be working in a chemical packaging environment, handling and preparing chemicals for shipment. You must be clean-shaven; you will be working with chemicals daily.
Resumes must be current and cannot have any unexplained gaps in work history.
Shift: Monday - Friday, 6a - 2:30p
$22.50/hr + benefits
What you will do:
- Filling & Packaging: Measure, pour, cap, and label liquid or powdered chemicals using manual or semi-automated machines.
- Following Safety Guidelines: Wear the required safety gear, including a respirator, gloves, protective suits, and goggles. (Must be clean-shaven daily for the respirator fit test.)
- Documentation & Data Entry: Record packaging details accurately in the system. (Basic computer skills required.)
- Teamwork & Training: Work with others and train new employees as needed.
- Heavy Lifting & Repetitive Work: Be prepared to stand for long periods and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. using proper equipment.
What we’re looking for:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5-6 years of experience in a chemical or packaging environment
- Ability to understand and perform basic math (needed for measuring and mixing)
- Basic computer skills for data entry
- Reliable, hardworking, and willing to learn
- Must pass a respirator fit test (clean-shaven required daily)
Preferred but not required:
- SAP system experience
- Previous experience in ISO, pharmaceutical, or biotech environments
