Job Title: Chemical Production Technician (2nd Shift)

? Shift: 2nd Shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)
? Pay: $25/hr (based on experience)
? Potential for permanent hire based on performance
? Physical exam required before starting

What You’ll Do:

As a Chemical Production Technician, you will help manufacture, process, and test chemical products following safety and quality guidelines. Your work will involve handling different chemicals, using specialized equipment, and ensuring everything runs smoothly in the production process.

✔️ Operate Machinery & Equipment: Work with tanks, dryers, glassware, and other tools to mix and process chemicals.
✔️ Handle Chemicals: Add solids, liquids, and gases into machines for processing.
✔️ Monitor Reactions: Use lab equipment to check how chemicals are reacting and adjust as needed.
✔️ Purify Products: Perform distillations, filtrations, extractions, and crystallizations to separate and purify materials.
✔️ Safety & Waste Disposal: Follow all safety procedures and properly dispose of leftover materials.
✔️ Follow Written Instructions: Carefully read and follow work instructions, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
✔️ Keep Records: Maintain detailed logs, reports, and batch records for accuracy and compliance.
✔️ Equipment Maintenance: Make sure machines and equipment are clean, functioning properly, and stocked with necessary materials.
✔️ Team Communication: Provide updates to supervisors and coworkers about production progress.
✔️ Forklift Operation: Use forklifts or pallet jacks to move materials (training provided if needed).

Who We’re Looking For:

✅ High School Diploma or GED required
✅ Experience in a chemical-related work environment
✅ Good with basic math (for measurements and calculations)
✅ Comfortable using lab tools, hand tools, and weighing/measuring devices
✅ Basic computer skills (data entry, reports, SAP experience is a plus)
✅ Mechanically inclined – able to troubleshoot minor equipment issues

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

⚙️ Manufacturing Setting: You’ll work around moving equipment and sometimes in hot, cold, or humid conditions.
? Protective Gear Required: Must wear gloves, safety glasses, protective suits, hard hats, and safety shoes.
?️‍♂️ Physical Activity: Standing, walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and occasional kneeling/crawling.
