Chromatography Application Scientist
Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking a Chromatography Application Scientist III to support the Downstream Application department at a life science/biotechnology facility. This role will assist in the design, development, and testing of novel chromatography products and technologies suitable for the manufacture of therapeutic biopharmaceuticals.
Work Schedule and Location
- 100% on-site position
- Monday through Friday core business hours
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to technology and product development projects focused on advanced chromatography technologies for bioprocessing applications.
- Apply scientific and engineering principles to design and test prototype chromatography products in a collaborative environment.
- Develop materials, devices, and methods that meet cost and performance objectives.
- Summarize experimental results and conclusions through written reports and technical presentations.
- Take initiative to solve technical challenges.
- Guide junior members of the team.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Applied Science, or a closely related discipline required
- PhD is required; a PhD in Chemical Engineering is highly preferred.
- Open to recent graduates as long as they hold a PhD.
- Previous hands-on experience with chromatography systems is required.
- Comfortable using modern laboratory techniques and procedures.
- Hands-on problem solver.
- Comply with all necessary EHS safety regulations.
- Able to work collaboratively with manufacturing, quality, and procurement functions through development and validation phases to support a successful product launch.
- Seeks out feedback and responds appropriately to input from other R&D peer groups.
- Demonstrates good communication skills and the ability to deliver clear, concise technical presentations.
- Must be eligible to work for any US employer without sponsorship now and/or in the future.
