Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking two Civil Construction Leads for a temporary contract opportunity in Macon, GA.
Essentials:
- Abide by all safety rules and help establish and maintain a culture focused on safety.
- Support implementation of E&CS procedures on project.
- Inspection of construction installations for compliance with drawings and specifications.
- Assist in the planning for proper sequence and schedule of construction activities to ensure completion within schedule and budget requirements.
- Ensure that the quality requirements of the applicable plans, specifications, and standards are met.
- Maintain an awareness of measurable quantities to be installed and monitor progress versus schedule requirements.
- Identify installation problems, assist in developing solutions, and ensure corrective actions are taken by the craft, contractor, or vendor in accordance with an approved plan.
- Maintain an awareness of equipment and material transportation schedules to ensure support of construction activities.
- Support Site Management in the administration of construction contract(s).
- Conduct meetings as required (pre-bid, pre-mobilization, contractor orientation, JSA’s, project status).
Qualifications:
- 4-year degree in a related field or 10+ years of related experience.
- 10+ years in Heavy Civil Construction with at least 5 years of ash pond experience; Experience with stormwater and contact water management; Ability to read civil plans and ensure plans are being followed in the field; Required to have GSWCC Level 1A Certification; Ability to complete daily reports and tracking spreadsheets as required.
- BS in Engineering related field a plus but not required.
