Job Description

Sirius Staffing is currently hiring a Clamp/Railcar Operator for a contract-to-hire position in Columbus, MS.
 
Pay Range: $16.00 to $19.00 per hour.
 
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:15 AM – 4:00 PM, 
Occasional Saturdays as needed.
Some Fridays may not be required depending on workflow need
 
Summary: This role provides operational support by safely unloading pulp rolls from railcars using a clamp truck, inspecting materials for contamination, and staging rolls for production use. The position also supports housekeeping and general production area cleanliness. 
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely unload pulp rolls from railcars using a clamp truck without damaging materials or railcars
  • Inspect each roll for contamination and quality issues
  • Stage pulp rolls for production consumption
  • Operate a clamp truck proficiently and safely
  • Utilize computer software applications to support railcar unloading and documentation
  • Perform assigned housekeeping duties, including washing down process areas, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and trash removal
  • Follow instructions from the Production Manager or Team Builder on shift.
 
Requirement:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to safely operate a clamp truck (experience preferred)
  • Willingness to perform housekeeping and production support tasks
  • Required PPE includes safety glasses (non-prescription), earplugs (custom or disposable), hard hat, and radio
  • Contractor must provide safety-toed shoes/boots.
