Cleanroom Production Technician
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $27.00–per hour
Type: Temp-to-Perm

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Cleanroom Production Technician to support aseptic filling and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes within a highly regulated GMP cleanroom environment. This mid-level role requires previous isolator experience and hands-on pharmaceutical manufacturing experience, particularly in aseptic operations.Technicians in this position will work across multiple cleanroom functions, progressively build skill levels, and provide floor support in the absence of senior technicians or supervisors. This is a critical role ensuring product quality, compliance, and safety throughout sterile production workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Become certified for cleanroom entry; perform sanitization, stocking, supply replenishment, and equipment setup.
  • Execute aseptic filling processes according to batch records, SOPs, and GMP guidelines.
  • Verify equipment calibration and ensure proper sanitization/preparation of materials.
  • Perform duties in Aseptic & Cleanroom areas including Component Preparation, Filling, and Capping.
  • Learn and operate equipment within the Fill Suite.
  • Complete tasks with minimal supervision while maintaining GMP compliance.
  • Train new team members on procedures and cleanroom protocols.
  • Coordinate workflow to support production schedules.
  • Provide in-the-moment leadership when senior staff are unavailable.
  • Safely transport and dispose of hazardous chemicals as required.
  • Immediately report any infectious disease or open lesions, as these prohibit entry into sterile areas.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework preferred).
  • 3–5 years of aseptic filling or cleanroom production experience in a cGMP pharmaceutical environment.
  • Working knowledge of GMP compliance standards.
  • Experience with aseptic cleaning, equipment assembly, and handling sterile components.
  • Ability to understand and follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong math skills for documentation and calculations.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for long periods, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal).
Preferred:
  • Experience in stopper prep, capping, packaging, and other fill-finish operations.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word).
Physical & Environmental Requirements
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
  • Routine lifting/moving of 10–50 lbs.
  • Work inside controlled GMP cleanroom environments.
  • PPE required (provided by EMD).
  • Exposure to certain chemicals/substances as part of standard operations.
