Sirius Staffing is seeking a Compute & Storage Solution Architect for a 1-year contract working a hybrid schedule in Lutz, FL. Please contact us today for more information. 

Schedule: Onsite 4 days / Remote 1 day
Travel: Occasional local travel

We are seeking a Compute & Storage Solution Architect to design and modernize enterprise compute, virtualization, and storage infrastructure. This role focuses on Cisco UCS, VMware vSphere 8, and SAN storage solutions, supporting critical enterprise workloads and infrastructure lifecycle initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect and design enterprise compute and VM solutions; produce build documentation for implementation teams
  • Design, deploy, and upgrade VMware vSphere 8 environments (HA, DRS, vMotion, vLCM)
  • Architect and manage Cisco UCS platforms (X-Series, C-Series, blades and rack servers)
  • Manage UCS via UCS Manager and Cisco Intersight (IMM)
  • Integrate compute platforms with Pure Storage and HPE Alletra MP using Fibre Channel SAN
  • Design FC fabrics, zoning, LUN provisioning, and host presentation
  • Lead VMware, hardware, and OS lifecycle initiatives

Required Qualifications
  • Strong experience in architecting enterprise compute and storage environments
  • Deep expertise with VMware vSphere and Cisco UCS
  • Experience with SAN storage (Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS)
  • Ability to create clear architecture designs and build documentation

Preferred
  • Automation experience (Ansible, PowerShell, Terraform)
  • Cloud exposure (Azure, AWS, Google, Oracle)
  • VMware or Cisco certifications (VCP, CCNA or higher)

Working Conditions
  • Onsite 4 days/week, 1 day remote
  • Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and perform hands-on data center work
  • Occasional travel within the region
