Job Description

Sirius Staffing is Construction Manager for a contract opportunity in Tippecanoe, IN. This role is 100% onsite in Tippecanoe
Pay: 78.00 – 98.00/ hour
Benefits: Medical, PTO, and holiday pay accrued. 
Summary: The Construction Manager will support field execution by developing work packages, coordinating engineering-to-construction activities, verifying field progress, and ensuring work is completed safely and in alignment with project requirements. This role serves as a key liaison between engineering, contractors, and project management.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed work packages that connect engineering deliverables with construction execution. Collaborate with contractors to clarify scope, workflow sequence, and technical requirements.
  • Maintain a strong field presence to monitor job-site progress. Identify constraints early, provide technical guidance, and help drive efficient execution aligned with engineering plans and project objectives.
  •  Verify that installed work meets design intent, project specifications, and quality standards. Address deviations through engineering solutions and document corrective actions to reduce rework.
  • Maintain accurate status documentation for work packages, field progress, and technical decisions. Prepare clear, concise reports to support project controls and stakeholder communication.
  • Work closely with construction and engineering teams to resolve technical and execution-related issues. Recommend process improvements that enhance productivity, safety, and quality.
  • Act as a primary liaison between engineering teams, project management, and field personnel. Provide proactive updates on work package readiness, field status, risks, and schedule impacts.
  • Promote and enforce safe work practices by integrating safety requirements into work packages and supporting compliance during all field engagements.
 
Qualifications.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must have 3–5 years of experience in project engineering or field coordination on large capital projects
  • Prior military experience or equivalent technical leadership background preferred.
  • Strong understanding of work packaging concepts and construction sequencing.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with engineering standards, codes, and general construction practices..
