Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking a Project Scheduler for a Direct Hire role in Mobile, AL. We are currently seeking a technically proficient Project Scheduler with specialized expertise in construction projects. Please contact us today for more information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive critical path method (CPM) schedules for commercial construction projects utilizing Primavera P6 software
- Create detailed resource-loaded schedules with precise activity durations based on quantitative analysis
- Establish systematic schedule control processes including baseline documentation, variance analysis, and corrective action protocols
- Implement structured progress monitoring systems with quantifiable metrics and data-driven reporting
- Analyze schedule performance using technical metrics including earned value management (EVM) practices
- Monitor and control progress against completion deadlines with regular assessments
- Create detailed recovery schedules when necessary, with systematic analysis of acceleration options
- Maintain comprehensive schedule documentation including logic, constraints, and technical dependencies
- Generate detailed progress reports for both client and company-level communications
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure schedule adherence and identify potential risks
- Perform critical path analysis to optimize project sequences and identify float consumption
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for advanced analytics of project data and performance metrics
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related technical field
- 5+ years of proven planning and scheduling experience (8-10 years preferred)
- Strong background in commercial construction projects with understanding of typical sequences and methodologies
- Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software; experience with Microsoft Project is a plus
- Demonstrated expertise in CPM scheduling methodology, resource optimization, and critical path analysis
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) practices and implementation
- Exceptional organizational skills with systematic approach to schedule development
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex schedule information clearly
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
