Job Description
Job Title: Construction Project Manager
Location: San Jose, CA (100% On-Site)
Payrate: $75/hr-$81/hr
Experience Required: 8-10 years (must have experience in California)
We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee capital projects in San Jose, CA. This role involves managing construction, safety, and quality for retrofit and facility expansion projects, including office fit-outs, cleanroom installations, and chemical processing equipment setups. The manager will ensure smooth execution, compliance with safety regulations, and high-quality outcomes.

Size: Smaller project
Start Date: May 2025
Completion Date: September 2025
Denali Project:
Size: Larger-scale project
Start Date: September 2025
Completion Date: Mid-2026
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee construction sites, contractors, and workers to maintain high safety and quality standards, aiming for zero safety incidents.
Ensure compliance with corporate safety protocols and industry regulations.
Coordinate daily construction activities to ensure efficiency and productivity.
Monitor contractor performance, ensuring work follows approved plans and procedures.
Manage contracting process from bidding to contract closeout, including contractor compliance and documentation.
Review and negotiate contractor change orders based on justifications and cost estimates.
Track project schedules, ensuring deadlines and milestones are met.
Prepare weekly and monthly reports on project progress, costs, and any potential changes.
Conduct safety and quality meetings and coordinate project updates.
Communicate project status and concerns with clients, stakeholders, and upper management.
Oversee project permitting and inspections, ensuring compliance with regulatory authorities.
Perform quality assurance inspections to verify adherence to customer requirements.
Provide mentorship and training to team members, promoting professional development.
Assist with onboarding contractors and other team members.
Collaborate with safety and quality teams to address and resolve concerns.
Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation plans.
Carry out other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of construction technology, safety, and quality standards.
Experience in commercial building construction, cleanroom environments, and chemical processing facilities.
Proficiency in project budgeting, forecasting, and cost management tools.
Ability to manage schedules, contracts, and project documentation.
Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
Experience handling permitting, regulatory compliance, and inspections.
Ability to conduct risk assessments and create action plans.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
