Job Description

Sirius Staffing is seeking a Corporate Mechanical Project Engineer for a full-time, direct-hire opportunity based in Cordova, TN (Memphis area).

Position Title: Corporate Project Engineer – Mechanical
Location: Cordova, TN
Compensation: $115,000 – $125,000 + 15% Annual Bonus
Work Environment: On-site with up to 50% travel

Position Summary:
The Corporate Mechanical Project Engineer will play a key role in supporting safe, efficient, and reliable production by managing and executing cost-effective capital and major maintenance projects across manufacturing facilities. This role includes the development of project scopes, budgets, and schedules, and provides critical engineering support from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead or assist in the conceptualization, development, and execution of capital projects
  • Create detailed scopes of work, budgets, and project schedules
  • Assist with Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) requests and project commissioning
  • Conduct engineering reviews and oversee construction activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including tradespeople, operators, and procurement
  • Evaluate and optimize equipment for improved reliability and performance
  • Source and coordinate with contractors, vendors, and consultants
  • Facilitate and lead project review meetings
  • Travel to U.S. manufacturing sites for technical support and best practice implementation
  • Support facility shutdowns and safety-related projects
  • Ensure compliance with external regulations (e.g., OSHA, NFPA, Building Codes)
  • Assist in developing internal safety and project engineering standards
  • Communicate project status through written reports and presentations
Qualifications:
  • Any type of Engineering Degree. from an accredited institution (required)
  • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal
  • Ability to interpret Civil, Structural, and Mechanical drawings
  • Proven leadership and project management experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Power BI
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Demonstrated initiative and a growth-oriented mindset
Preferred Experience:
  • 5+ years in a manufacturing or industrial environment
