Job Description
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
- 7 years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in implementing and executing project control programs for large capital projects.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze performance data and forecast labor hours.
- Proficient in using project management software and tools for cost tracking and forecasting (SAP preferred)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex cost data to stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of change control procedures
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and establish effective working relationships with cross-functional teams.
- Implement and execute a project controls program to support large capital projects.
- Proactively monitor and communicate budget, actual status, forecast costs, and labor hours.
- Collaborate with lead staff and project management to develop accurate and timely project cost forecasts.
- Analyze performance data to forecast labor hours based on earned value.
- Work closely with project management and project accounting to ensure appropriate cash flow management.
- Create and issue status reports that effectively communicate cost status and trends.
- Define and implement corrective actions to address any deviations from the planned budget or schedule.
- Support local/on-site job progression monitoring, working closely with construction managers, field engineers, and schedulers.
- Promote the use of change control procedures and ensure their proper implementation.
- Work with the project team to recover all costs not specifically defined by the contracts.
