Document Control Specialist
Job Description
- Manage the implementation of the document control system
- Set up folder structure within the document control system.
- Work collaboratively with the client and design/construction partners to understand the files that will be turned over.
- Once the system is set up, will manage the team to collect and organize the documentation.
- Once developed, this role will manage the document control system at the client site.
- Help the client establish and maintain document control SOPs.
- Ensure documents are secure and compliant and follow the Client standards.
- Ensure revision and border compliance.
- Prepare reports on progress and documents as requested.
- Conduct document management of electronic and/or physical files for distribution, which may include converting between different software packages.
- Ensure documents are secure and compliant, and that all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
- Prepare reports on progress and documents as requested.
- Train, coach, and develop other stakeholders and team members on proper document control best practices.
- Supervise sensitive phases of document management.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
- 10 plus years of experience in the implementation and management of Document control systems
- Experience in Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
- Ability to forecast and manage budget and efforts to execute document control on a project.
- Strong knowledge of engineering document control standards.
- Understanding of construction plans and diagrams.
- Extreme attention to detail and ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to adapt communication for various audiences.
- Demonstrated work ethic, integrity, and professional conduct.
