EHS Supervisor
Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking an experienced EHS Supervisor to lead and support environmental, health, and safety initiatives within a manufacturing facility. This role reports directly to the Plant/General Manager and plays a critical part in ensuring a safe, compliant, and continuously improving work environment.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong knowledge of safety regulations, environmental compliance, and a passion for building a strong safety culture across all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs and initiatives across the facility
- Partner with leadership and team members to identify workplace hazards and implement corrective actions
- Drive continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and all federal, state, and local environmental regulations
- Support incident investigations, reporting, and root cause analysis
- Oversee claims management in partnership with site leadership
- Facilitate EHS training programs for employees at all levels
- Monitor and report progress on safety metrics, leading indicators, and EHS goals
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting and recordkeeping of all incidents and compliance activities
- Utilize and maintain safety tracking systems (e.g., Intelex or similar)
- Provide first aid/triage support when needed
- Support health programs, including screenings, OSHA recordkeeping, and hearing conservation
- Spend time on the production floor engaging with employees and reinforcing safe work practices
- Lead by example in promoting a strong safety culture
- Collaborate with regional environmental resources and participate in monthly reviews
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- EHS experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of OSHA General Industry standards and environmental regulations
- Experience with Title V facilities and the EPA Clean Air Act, including:
- Stormwater
- Wastewater
- Waste management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, etc.)
- Experience with EHS systems such as Intelex or similar platforms preferred
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and sustain EHS programs
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively train and engage employees at all levels
- Proactive, self-motivated, and team-oriented mindset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
