Job Description

Sirius Staffing is seeking Electronic Technicians to join a dynamic team in Austin, TX. This role is ideal for recent college graduates, those with a military background, or anyone eager to pursue a rewarding technical career. 

As a Megasys Technician (Electronic Technician), you'll play a crucial role within a semiconductor manufacturing support team. This contract position offers comprehensive training to develop essential technical skills, with the potential for permanent placement based on performance and business needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and operate chemical and gas distribution systems within semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Handle, replace, and troubleshoot gas, chemical, and slurry containers.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment.
  • Utilize computer systems to support job functions and customer requirements.
  • Uphold quality systems and compliance standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • A High School Diploma or Equivalent is required
  • Must have a Valid Driver's license.
  • Must be proficient in reading and writing English.
  • Strong technical aptitude and effective communication skills
Physical Requirements:
  • Capability to walk distances of 5-6 miles daily.
  • Occasionally may need to climb tanker trucks with proper fall protection for chemical handling
  • Proficiency in using provided breathing air respirators during chemical tasks (approx. 10-15 minutes).
  • Capacity for basic lifting (up to 40 lbs.), bending and reaching overhead.
  • Readiness to utilize supplied PPE, including safety glasses, hard hats, earplugs, gloves, etc.
  • Mandatory Completing Fit for Duty Evaluation, comprising pulmonary function tests and physical exams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in maintenance, as an equipment technician, or in a Mechanical or Electronic Environment is a plus
  • Experience in maintenance, equipment technician, or similar roles.
  • Familiarity with chemical and gas distribution equipment is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Military training background.
We offer various shift options, including compressed schedules working day or night (e.g., 3 on / 4 off) based on business requirements. Overtime is available as determined by business needs.  These are 12-hour shift options: Day (6a - 6p) or Night (6p - 6a)
