Job Description

Sirius Staffing is seeking to hire a Structural Engineer for our client located in the Pensacola, FL area. 
 
This is a Direct Hire position, and the schedule for this role is Monday–Friday, from 8am-5pm. 
 
Job Overview
This role involves designing and analyzing heavy industrial structures, ensuring safety, compliance, and structural integrity in various industrial environments.
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Design and analyze structural components for Air Pollution Control Systems, including Electrostatic Precipitators (ESPs), Baghouses, Boiler Buildings, Ductwork, and Support Structures.
  • Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to ensure the safety and stability of structures.
  • Review project specifications and ensure structural integrity aligns with industry standards.
  • Conduct field inspections to obtain accurate measurements and assess structural conditions.
  • Collaborate with project teams to optimize designs and support fabrication and construction phases.
  • Provide technical guidance for resolving structural engineering challenges.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation for project records and compliance.
 
Requirements: 
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License required in at least one U.S. state.
  • 6+ years of structural engineering experience, primarily in heavy industrial projects (no more than 20% commercial experience).
  • Industry experience in power plants, paper mills, or refineries preferred.
  • Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) required.
  • Experience with RISA and basic AutoCAD is beneficial.
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and elevated platforms for field assessments.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams and stakeholders.
  • In-office position (not remote), with minimal travel required.
  • US Citizenship required
