Job Description
Sirius Staffing seeking an experienced Construction Quality Engineer to oversee quality assurance and quality control activities for construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring construction processes, materials, and workmanship comply with project specifications, engineering standards, code requirements, and safety regulations.
The Construction Quality Engineer will work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to monitor construction quality, resolve issues, and maintain project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Job Title: Construction Quality Engineer
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Contract duration : 1 year with possible extension
Pay Rate: $55 - $60/hr.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement QA/QC plans for assigned construction projects.
- Conduct routine site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications, and quality standards.
- Review and approve quality documentation including inspection reports, material submittals, and test plans.
- Identify quality issues and coordinate corrective and preventive actions with project teams.
- Maintain accurate quality records, reports, and project documentation.
- Conduct root cause analysis for quality failures and recommend process improvements.
- Provide training and guidance on quality assurance and quality control procedures.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, models, and technical specifications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical preferred), Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of QA/QC experience within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Familiarity with construction quality management systems and ISO 9001 standards.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within project teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Quality Management Professional (QMP).
- Experience working on Life Science, GMP, or clean room construction projects.
