Job Description
Sirius Staffing is currently seeking an Environmental Engineering Intern for a contact opportunity expected to last until August 2023 in Theodore, AL. The position will start immediately. This position will work full-time or part-time, or around student schedule until Summer.
The Summer schedule will be 7:30a to 4:00pm.

This position will support the plant engineering staff with basic engineering duties. The candidate will be a contributor to the Plant Engineering department for continued safe and efficient operation of the Mobile, AL chemical facility. This position will support the Plant Engineering staff with basic engineering duties.
Plant Engineers will mentor and support the engineering intern and will provide guidance on tasks desired to be completed. This position will routinely collaborate with the Plant Engineering staff.
Timely interaction with Plant Engineers, will be required. Must be able to work independently or with minimal supervision on multiple projects at a time. The engineering intern should be a junior in an engineering discipline, preferably chemical, environmental or mechanical.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide support to ESHQ Engineer
- Assist with development and implementation of BSP process data analysis report.
- Assist with development and implementation of quality risk matrix.
- Assist with scheduling/coordinating/integrity of periodic LDAR monitoring program.
- Assist with all changes to the LDAR program via the MOC process.
- Assist with all periodic reporting to site and regulatory agencies: Title V, Greenhouse Gas Emissions, Tier II Reporting, NA ESH KPI, and SuRe data reports.
- Ensure successful completion and documentation for all required ESHQ field inspections.
- Improve field documentation for BMP and SPCC inspections.
- Support safety and environmental process activities.
- Ensure compliance with all elements of ESHQ.
- Assist with updating of ESHQ procedures and documents via Open Text
REQUIREMENTS
- Preferred junior status in mechanical, environmental, or chemical engineering.
- Planning, leading, organizing, and negotiating.
- Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work on project teams.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Skilled in successfully overcoming technical challenges.
- Skilled in identifying opportunities for optimization and implementing ideas.
- Proficiency with spreadsheet and data organization
