FLSS Manufacturing Technician
Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Tualatin, OR.
Pay: $27.00/ hour
Schedule: 12 hours compressed shifts. (Sun, Mon, Tues, or every other Wed). or (Thurs, Fri, Sat, and every other Wed),
Hours:6a-6p
Summary: The FLSS Technician will support operations and maintenance of various Life Safety Systems, including Fire & Gas Detection, seismic monitoring/shutdown systems, scrubbed exhaust sensors, and Fire Protection electrical signals.
- Support daily operations of Fire & Life Safety Systems, including Fire & Gas Detection, seismic shutdown systems, scrubbed exhaust sensors, and Fire Protection signaling equipment.
- Maintain ownership of all FLSS and Gas Detection equipment, including auditing, scheduling maintenance, performing repairs, system troubleshooting, and supporting upgrade projects as needed.
- Participate in scheduled testing of fire detection systems based on the PM schedule.
- Assist with Safety Level 2 gas detection testing alongside Controls Engineering, Programming, and EHS teams.
- Perform maintenance on gas detection systems, including tape changeouts and monthly F2 sensor bump tests.
- Manage gas detection tape inventory and place orders when required.
- Work with onsite services to review and issue FLSS permits for campus construction and maintenance activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with FLSS equipment (FACP, Gas Detection, Fire systems)
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in electronics, design, or engineering
