Job Description

Sirius Staffing is seeking a Field Engineer for a temp-to-hire position in Pascagoula, MS. 

Pay: $40 to $45/ hour

Shift: Monday to Friday, 6a-3p,7a-4p, or 8a-5p.


Summary: Performs engineering activities related to production, testing and trials. Reports to the Field Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities:
  • Provides engineering decisions on the deck plate in coordination with the functional engineering group.
  • Performs field engineering activities related to the production process.
  • Provides details to crafts as related to production.
  • Produces field sketches and material lists.
  • Draft necessary changes/revisions for review by the Field Engineer Manager.
  • Determines material needs related to change/revisions, fitting/outfitting, and scoping impact.
  • Works with crafts to review fitting/outfitting modifications and problems.
  • Resolves production problems.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience related to the marine industry with a focus on deck plate resolution
  • One or more years’ drafting experience related to production or equivalent combination of experience and training which results in the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or any equivalent combination of experience and training which results in the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. 
  • Accredited degree in a marine engineering discipline.
  • Knowledge of shipyard production as related to engineering functions.  
  • Knowledge of division policies, procedures, and practices.   
  • Ability to establish and meet goals and to maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels
