Job Description

Sirius Staffing is seeking a Data Analyst Intern for a short-term contract opportunity in Theodore, AL. This is a 100% onsite role supporting the new Project initiative in Mobile, AL.!

Pay: $ 26.44 to $28.85 per hour ( depending on experience)

Summary: The Data Analyst Intern will be responsible for streamlining and automating our Time & Materials tracking and invoicing process, which is currently manual and fragmented. Your efforts will improve billing accuracy, operational efficiency, and data visibility across departments.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze current Time & Material workflows, including labor tracking, material usage, and billing inputs.
  • Design and implement an automated tracking and invoicing process using tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, and Power Automate.
  • Build dashboards and reporting solutions for operations, finance, and leadership teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Finance, IT, Operations) to gather requirements and ensure system alignment.
  • Document and train users on newly developed tools and processes.
Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Data Science, MIS, Business Analytics, or a related discipline (within the past 1–2 years).
  • Proficient in Excel and familiar with data visualization platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or workflow automation tools like Power Automate or Zapier.
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail with a passion for process improvement.
  • Ability to translate technical solutions into user-friendly processes and communicate effectively with non-technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Experience with time-tracking or invoicing systems.
  • Exposure to API integrations or low-code platforms.
