Job Title: Gas & Chemical Technician
 Openings: 3 roles
 Location: Fremont, CA 94538
 Pay Rate: $27/hour
Shift Requirements
  • Candidates must be available for both day and night shifts — no exceptions.
  • All workers will begin on the day shift, with the potential to rotate to night shifts depending on business needs.
  • Shift schedules may follow a compressed rotation (e.g., 3 months days / 3 months nights).
Role Overview
A high-tech manufacturing facility is seeking Gas and Chemical Technicians to support operations in a 24/7 environment. You’ll be joining a dedicated team of technicians responsible for maintaining gas and chemical distribution systems critical to production.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain over 2,000 gas and chemical distribution systems and related equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all operating procedures, safety protocols, and emergency response standards.
  • Author and update SOPs and maintenance procedures.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on gas and chemical systems.
  • Perform cylinder and drum changes and support system installations and decommissions.
  • Contribute to a ZERO-incident culture with a focus on safety and quality.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 2–3 years of experience working with chemical and/or gas systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Seeking a long-term, full-time opportunity with potential for permanent hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in a semiconductor or ultra-high purity gas/chemical environment.
  • Associate degree in electronics, design, or engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Military experience—especially Navy Nuclear Power School training—is highly desirable.
