Job Description
Title: Gas & Chemical Technician
Location: Phoenix, AZ 85083
Hourly Pay: $24 - $28 per hour

Temporary Training Schedule:
- Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (first 2-3 months)
Regular Shift Schedule (Post-Training):
- 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 5:00 PM
- OR 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- OR 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Final schedule to be determined
Job Summary:
A Gas & Chemical Technician is needed to support onsite gas and chemical distribution systems. This role involves the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of gas and chemical equipment while ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
This is a career opportunity with structured on-the-job training (OJT), technical development, and a clear promotion path across five technician levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and support gas and chemical distribution equipment.
- Act as a subject matter expert in gas, chemical, and slurry systems.
- Provide technical support and problem resolution for onsite operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational protocols.
- Write, edit, and execute operating and maintenance procedures.
- Support installation, decommissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of gas and chemical systems, including:
- Gas Systems
- Liquid Delivery Systems
- Chemical Handling Systems
- Perform cylinder and drum changes on all chemical and gas systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and support quality management initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience in wafer fabrication gas or chemical applications is preferred.
- Ability to perform complex troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Strong commitment to a zero safety or quality incident culture.
- Ability to wear a respirator as required by EHS standards.
- Must be capable of lifting over 20 lbs and working with protective equipment.

- Physical Requirements: This role requires a standard physical exam and involves exposure to chemicals or substances that necessitate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
