Job Description

Sirius Staffing is seeking Gas and Chemical Technicians for the Tualatin, OR area. These positions are contract to direct hire. This is a career opportunity in a growing industry.

Technicians will undergo comprehensive on-the-job training (OJT) and technical qualification programs. There are five levels of technician positions, providing a fast-paced promotion track.

Pay: $27.00/ hour

Schedule: Training period is Mon – Fri (7 am-4:00 pm)

Two shifts available after completion of training:

Back End Days (Thurs, Fri, Sat, Every Other Wed, 7a-7p)
Front End Nights (Wed, Thurs, Fri, Every Other Saturday, 7p-7a)

Responsibilities:

Technicians are responsible for safely operating assigned chemical and/or gas distribution systems.
Support the technical demands of site gas and/or chemical equipment.
Perform cylinder and drum changes on all chemical and gas systems and handle complex troubleshooting and problem resolution for all equipment.
Ensure compliance with operation and maintenance procedures and safety protocols and drive flawless execution.
Support over 500 pieces of distribution equipment from various types and vendors.
Promote a culture of zero safety or quality incidents.
Participate in basic safety processes, quality management, preventative maintenance, and training.
After training, you will support installing, decommissioning, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic gas, precursor delivery, and bulk chemical distribution systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
1 or more years of experience in a maintenance or equipment technician role.
Basic computer skills
Must be able to participate in the respiratory fit program, including but not limited to being clean-shaven and able to wear a respirator when safety needs dictate.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with chemical and gas distribution equipment
Navy Nuclear power school or Military mechanic trained
