Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking Technicians for an opportunity in the Austin, TX area. This long-term opportunity offers on-the-job training for quickly learning critical technical skills to excel in this role and be considered for converting to permanent as determined by supervisors and business needs.
Shifts: Various shifts are available, such as day, night, 5-day, and compressed shifts(3 days on, 4 days off/ 4 days on, 3 days off) Based on business needs. Overtime is available as well. The shift needs as determined by the business.

Technicians work on systems and maintain a supply of chemicals and gases to a semiconductor manufacturing environment that makes the chips used in electronic devices such as Smart Phones, LEDs, and Flat Screen TVs.
Responsibilities:
- Technicians will be responsible for the safe operation of assigned chemical and/or gas distribution systems, with duties including:
- Handling and change-out of gas, chemical, and slurry containers
- Gas and chemical equipment troubleshooting and preventative/repair maintenance
- Computer operations to support job functions and customer needs
- Support of quality systems
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Prior experience in maintenance or as an equipment technician or in a mechanical or electronic environment is a plus
- Previous experience with chemical and gas distribution equipment is helpful but not a must
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Strong technical aptitude
- Excellent communication skills
Physical Attributes:
- Walking up to 5 or 6 miles per day
- Occasionally may need to climb a tanker truck (18-wheeler) while using fall protection, to off-load chemicals into a drum
- In some cases, Technicians must wear a respirator
- Basic lifting (up to 40lbs)
- Bending of the knees and overhead reaching
- PPE available to workers include safety glasses, hard hats, ear plugs, chemical aprons, gloves, etc.
