Location: Allentown, PA (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
Employment Type: Contingent / Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $23.00/hour

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to support warehouse operations at a leading chemical distribution facility in Allentown, PA. This role involves operating powered industrial trucks, managing materials, and supporting general warehouse functions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, and other powered equipment safely
- Load and unload trailers and trucks with raw materials, finished goods, and waste products
- Select orders and properly store inbound materials
- Pack, unpack, and prepare orders for shipment
- Perform daily equipment safety checks and report maintenance needs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the work area
- Stack, stage, and move products, including into high-racking systems
- Use handheld scanners and/or manual logs to track inventory movement
- Follow company safety procedures and facility policies
- Support additional warehouse tasks as assigned
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of forklift operating experience (required)
- Experience using RF scanners and operating warehouse equipment
- Ability to read and communicate in English (written & verbal)
- Ability to operate PCs and printers for documentation
- Must be able to consistently follow safety protocols
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and lift for extended periods
- Lift up to 50 lbs unassisted; more with assistance
- Ability to climb, reach overhead, and work in warehouse environments
- Visual and auditory ability to safely operate equipment
- Comfortable working around chemicals with required PPE
Work Environment & Safety
- PPE required; physical exam may be required due to job duties
- Exposure to chemicals (handled with proper PPE)
- No exposure to blood-borne pathogens, viruses requiring vaccines, or animals
